The "toys" jacob brought home for the boys today

All jacob's fault

I came home yesterday, after only being gone for an hour. I asked the boys if they had fun playing with their daddy outside. Solomon fessed up that daddy hit him with a golf club! Luckily it was just a golf ball, but of all things jacob is extremely good at golf and now solomon has an egg on his head to prove it.

Don't judge

It's been a fun filled day including taking both my boys to the obgyn with me. Bribing them with candy to sit still while the doctor is in the room. Then a trip to Whole Foods, that ended in solomon tipping the cart all the way over with him and silar plus my groceries to the ground. Both babies crying, everyone looking at me like im crazy. Sometimes you just need a little Krispy Kreme. And yes I bought a dozen!!

We need help!

Ok so our sweet Sayla-Jewell will be here in less than 3 weeks. Even though jacon hasn't totally agreed to this, I want her first name to be Sayla-Jewell, not just Sayla. Anyway so that means we need a middle name and I need some help! Jacob doesn't like any name I like or suggest. I want her middle name to either be a family name or some type of cajun/louisiana name. She will be a colorado native but I want her to have a tie to good ole Louisiana. And there is nothing more cajun than beignets. Here are a few I have thought of. Post a comment with your favorite or post an idea of your own! Or you can email me with any ideas: calliegirl44@hotmail.com

Sayla-Jewell Charlene
Sayla-Jewell Mamie Jean
Sayla-Jewell Carletta
Sayla-jewell Marilee
Sayla-jewell Mary Rose
Sayla-jewell Babette
Sayla-jewell Lejean
Sayla-Jewell Savoie
Sayla-Jewell Adelaide

Funny faces

Silly face
Another silly face
Sweet face
The face of sick!

I might like this one better

This is another possiblity for sayla-jewells easter dress. Everyone has been asking me if it's been fun buying stuff for a girl but to tell the truth I haven't bought much. We are on a tight budget and people have given me tons of clothes so I haven't had to. I think I am having more fun making her clothes anyway.

This is for people who remotely care about sewing...
I made this dress from this pattern:
I love getting these free patterns off the internet!
Anyway I am not a great sew-er. However you can adjust any of these patterns to fit what you know how to sew. For example. This pattern called to make button holes. I have no I idea how! Thats why I sewed the straps on the front then made those fabric flowers and sewed them over where I sewed the straps on the front. And the fabric for the straps was an old t-shirt so it's real stretchy and should give some when sayla wears it. Anyway I think I like this dress the best.

Sayla-jewell's easter dress I made

I used this website to make the dress.
It took me all day but I finally finished. I think the dress probably cost me $5 to make.

Easter is officially in season

What better way to celebrate such a good game than some peeps. Solomon said "it's marshmallow chickens!" Silar was sick today so me and Solomon had a good time hanging out together.

Basketball game today

Water taste so good after working so hard.
This picture just made me laugh!
Solomon made 6 points in practice and 2 points in the game. He did so good today. I will upload a video later.

Picture day

So I like taking my own pictures of the kids but jacob had a test last week and I told him we would get out of the house so he could study. I got a coupon from Sears so I took the boys there to take some valentines day pictures. After taking the pictures the photographer tried to talk me into the $300 30 page pictures deal which I almost laughed at! She doesn't know we are living the student loan dream life right now. So I quickly handed her my coupon for the $7 package and got out of there! Anyway the pictures turned out great.

play date with Anna Kate!

We don't get to see my sweet anna kate very often so we were so glad to meet up with her and carmen in Lone Tree today! (that us where they are building the ikea!!!!)

The kids had to go to the dr. with me today!

But solomon is still smiling!
Silar showing everyone just how we all felt after being there for 1 1/2 hours!

Jacob and his boys

I think jacob is more busy than he was when he worked full time and more tired but he always makes time to play with the boys. I came out of the kitchen and found this. He was teaching them how to play knights. And as you can see silar store jacob's horse when he wasn't looking!

Solomon wanted to play "Knights"

Solomon wanted to play knights today. I know it looks like he is about to to waylay silar but he didn't! However silar did not get the knight memo and he chose to be harry potter.

Got Celery?

My kids love this green drink! I have a hard time getting them to eat a lot of veggies but they can down one of these green drinks. They look gross but taste pretty good. I couldn't get silar to model a green mustache though.

Free Day!

So being on a tight budget and make you be creative when you have 2 little ones to entertain. First we went to this rec center. They have an amazing indoor jungle gym, and for kids 4 and under it's free! Then after that we went to the library. It's called the Anythink library. It's real modern and you can see the mountains from it. It's called a range view library. My favorite part about it, is that they don't charge late fees. Back in Louisiana im sure I help fund any new additions to the library with all the late fees I racked up!

Watch out Adams County

I just signed up solomon to play soccer. He has a game about 4 days after I have sayla-jewell so I hope it's an easy delivery!

President's Day and Jacob doesn't have school!

A Day out with silar and me.
Jacob took solomon fishing, and eventhough they didn't catch anything I think solomon had the time of his life!
Silar realizing he is not going fishing with the boys and probably heard me saying something like me and him were "going to the craft store". Not much for a 1 year old. I did end up taking him to the park though.
Pretty blue eyes. I was trying to get him to make his sweet face but he just wanted my camera.

Crab alfredo...

My sweet husband was so excited about me cooking alfredo the other night. And I told him it was crab instead of shrimp. And he asked "Real crab"? I had to gingerly remind him that as long as he is in school we will be eating the fake crab. But it's worth is because I have one smart husband!

A dress for sayla-jewell and a picnic

Free Admission at the Zoo today...but was it worth it?

This was sj and silar trying to get away from the goose daddy was chasing.
They really wanted to get close to the elephant.
Daddy chasing the goose and silar shaking his head no!
So the zoo was free today and I thought it would be fun. Little did I know everyone else in Denver would be thinking the same thing. People parked miles away to walk to the zoo, but thankfully we found a close spot. After walking the whole zoo this pregnant mama wanted to ride in the stroller with the boys. People were pushing other people to look at the animals, and it was chaos! But we did see a bunch of animals and it all was free. The babies had a great time so it was worth it.

Basketball today

Silar also is just like his momma....he is always hungry.

Today was a tough day at the basketball courts, but Solomon still had a bunch of fun. Some kids didn't show up so we played almost the whole game. Silar had just as much fun flirting on the sidelines with his girlfriends.
